Willie Lunsford

Willie Joe Lunsford, 79, passed away at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation on Wednesday, October 21, 2020. He was born August 7, 1941 in Burke County to the late Coy “Duck” Lunsford and Sally Anderson Lunsford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Lunsford; sisters, Betty Terry and Peggy Chewing.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Tracy Lunsford and wife Melissa, Chris Lunsford; grandchildren, Katie Varnadoe, Allen Varnadoe, Darrenee Nolen, Christopher Lunsford; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Abernethy, Wanda Setzer; and brother, David Lunsford.

Willie’s Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. at 4500 Rudisill St., Hickory, NC 28602.
