Obituary

Walter “Winnie” Winford Etters, 82, of Bessemer City, passed away on May 18, 2022. He was born on February 2, 1940, in Cleveland County, to the late John William Etters and Ardella Harmon Etters.  

He is preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Butler, siblings Theodore Etters, Andrew Etters, Bob Etters, and Evelyn Tyler. 

Walter was a master auto mechanic, who liked to go hunting and drag racing. 

Left to cherish his memories is his grandson, Justin Etters, great-grandchildren, Austin Etters, Teryn Etters, Morgan Etters, great-great-grandson, Roman Etters, sisters, Martha Jackson Hillsman, Dorothy Etters Lane, and brother, William Lawrence Etters, nephew Bobby Etters, Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews, that were special to him. 

Winnie's memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2022 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Caulder officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM,  Friday, May 27, 2022 at Eastside Baptist Church, prior to the service

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastside Baptist Church Building Fund, 308 York Rd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
