Vanda Ewing

Vanda Carlisle Ewing, 84, of Belmont, passed away on September 1, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born May 7, 1937, in Gaston County to the late Calvin Carlisle and Zora Underdown Carlisle Armstrong.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie JC Ewing; children, Debbie Self, Cynthia Wright, and Melissa Connard; sister, Katherine Wentz; and brothers, Billy and Kevin Carlisle, Jr.

Vanda retired from Firestone Textiles.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Angela Cagle, and Crystal Mowlavie; sons, Darrell Lytton, Kenneth Lytton, Randy Rhyne, William Connard, and Timothy Connard; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Vanda’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 3, 2021, at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Gomez officiating.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Belmont.
