Obituary

Tammie Chaney Baker, 55, of Bessemer City, passed away at Atrium Health-Cleveland on August 1, 2022. She was born June 30, 1967, in Mecklenburg County, to Connie Harrison and the late Steve Michael Chaney. 

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Misty Nicole Canipe; brothers, Steve Chaney, Jeffrey Chaney. 

Tammie never met a stranger and had the biggest heart of anyone you have ever met. She loved her family, going to the beach, cooking, motorcycles and most of all her God. 

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Buddy Baker; children, Kevin Beaty, Dylan Baker (Stephanie), Bryan Alford, Brooke Campbell, Megan Barker; grandchildren, Ta’quan, Kailyn, Arial, Nicholaus, Landon, Isiah, Miriah, Ayvah, Scott Jr., Jenson, Addison, Isla, Hadley, Riley, Pyper, Lorae, Xyler, Josiah and Dalton; brother Danny Chaney; sister Dana Chaney; numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Adventure in Faith, Alexis. 

Tammie’s memorial service will be held 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Adventure in Faith, Alexis with Pastor Ritchie Doss officiating.
