Peggy Costner

Peggy Lewis Costner, 83, passed away on October 20, 2021, at Peak Resources in Gastonia. She was born in Gastonia on November 11, 1937, to the late Henry and Jessie Woods Lewis of Kings Mountain, NC.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Rush Costner; sisters Margaret Collins and Dot Ledford; and brother Henry Lewis, Jr.

Peggy is survived by daughter, Nikki C. Smith and husband Matt of Belmont and son, Dave Costner and wife Mary of Cramerton; sisters, Patricia King and Ruby Voigt, both of Kings Mountain.

Peggy graduated from Kings Mountain High School and Evans Business College. She was a former sales associate with Matthews-Belk Department Store. Her church home was New Hope Presbyterian where she was a member since 2007.

Peggy's graveside service will be held at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 11:00am with Pastor Dennis Gomez officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Presbyterian Church, 4357 New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28056.
