Mable Stephens

Mable “Ann” Barnette Stephens, 77, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1944, in York County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Lindell Stephens, Sr.; great-grandchild, Hannah Nicole Conrad.

Ann was a Godly woman who loved her family unconditionally.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Douglas L. Stephens, Jr. (Sarah), Scott Stephens, Michelle Childers, and Janice Self; grandchildren, Chris Self (Channing), Corey Self, Tyler Starling (Kayley), Kyle Hullett (Amanda), Cody Hullett, and Austin Childers (Makayla); great-grandchildren, Karlee Hullett, Braylon Childers, Eli Douglas Starling; brothers, Floyd “Pudgie” Barnett, and Danny Barnett; sisters, Millie Barnett, Debbie Perkins, and Linda “Lou” Hodge.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Sisk Butler Funeral Home.

Ann’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2021, in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with the Pastor Danny Shortridge officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
