Gloria Hardee

Gloria Hardee, age 78, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 5, 2021, at Perry County Nursing Home, in Linden, Tennessee.

She was born September 26, 1943 to Raymond and Geraldine Gregory in Kings Mountain, N.C.

Gloria was a member of South Gastonia Church of God and loved her Church Family. She loved to sing hymns, listen to gospel music, and she read her Bible often.

Gloria graduated from Cleveland Community College in 1985 with her Nursing Degree. Gloria began her career with Gaston Memorial Hospital and her passion was caring for the elderly. Throughout Gloria’s nursing career she chose to continue to care for the elderly. Gloria worked at many Nursing Facilities in Gaston and Cleveland Counties for over 35 years. Gloria chose to retire her nursing license in 2019.

In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her Son, Clyde Keith Huffman, beloved daughter in law, Veronica Lindsay- Huffman, Sister, Wanda Butler, and the Father of her Children Clyde Huffman.

Left to cherish her memory are her Husband of 18 years, Alfred Hardee. Three daughters, Lisa H. Smith and husband Jeffery of Nashville, Tennessee, Sherran H. Cameron and husband Mark of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Myra Huffman-Gomez of Shelby, N.C. One sister, Regina Terry of Cliffside, Brother, Ronnie Gregory and wife Janet of Blacksburg, S.C, Brother, Donnie Gregory and wife Linda of Georgia, Brother, Randy Gregory and wife Janiece of Savannah, Georgia.

Gloria’s Grand children were her pride and joy. She liked to be called Maw- Maw. She has eight grandchildren: Chad Huffman and wife Jessica, Kylie Putman and Husband Jim, Abbi Shirey and husband Warren, Hannah Cortez and husband Issac, Josiah Cameron and wife Diana, Anna Webb and husband Cameron, and Sarah Smith and Maggie Gomez-Huffman.

Gloria has seven great grandchildren which she adored.  She liked to be called Great Grand by her greats.  Logan, Kaitlyn and Allison Huffman, Ayden and Sebastian Putman, Emmi Jane Green and Rowan Cameron as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The Family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring and loving staff at Perry County Nursing Home.

Gloria's graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Westview Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Bobby Gilley officiating.
