David Snipes

David Benjamin Snipes, 72, passed away at Robin Johnson Hospice House on Saturday, February 27, 2021. He was born July 30, 1948 in Gaston County to the late Hubert Ben Snipes, Jr., and Evelyn Miller Snipes.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sandra Rabb Snipes.

David was the owner of Snipes Shoe Repair, a member of First Wesleyan Church, Gastonia, where he was a former youth sponsor, Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent and involved in Children’s Ministries. He was a fan of the Atlanta Braves and UNC Basketball.

He was devoted to his family, especially his 4 grandchildren.

Left to cherish his memories are his son Benji Snipes and wife Michelle; daughter Lori Snipes Tate and husband Jason; grandchildren Colby Snipes, Madalyn, Emma, and Will Tate.

He will lie in state from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

David’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at the Chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Smith officiating.

Interment will follow Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City.
