David Penner

David Arthur Penner, 66, passed away at his residence on Sunday, April 25, 2021. He was born May 28, 1954 in Gaston County to the late M.O. Penner and Kathryn Kiser Penner.

He was preceded in death by sister, Joan Penner Berry.

David was a lifelong member of Long Creek Presbyterian Church and retired from Eaton Transmission as a machinist. He was a licensed HAM Radio Operator.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Mary Penner; stepchildren, Wayne Leary II (Jennifer) and Lisa Marrocco (David); brother, O.G. Penner (Nell); sister, Patsy Welch; brother-in-law, Dave Berry; 6 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will lie in state from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, April 29, 2021.

David’s funeral service will be held 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Davenport and Dr. Charles Davenport officiating.

Interment will be private.
