Brenda Emory

Brenda “Chip” Baldwin Emory, 77, passed away at her residence on Saturday, March 25, 2023. She was born July 16, 1945, in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Sidney Sloan Baldwin and Lucillie Guthrie Baldwin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Rodney Emory and sister Oneta Hopper.

Chip loved spending time with her family and making crafts. She enjoyed singing in church and had a deep abiding faith in Christ.

Left to cherish her memories are daughter, Leslie Sheek of York, SC; son, Dr. Sidney Emory and wife Stacy of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Kayla S Porter and husband Marshall Porter, IV, Jordan Sheek, Wes Emory and wife Megan Emory, Will Emory and wife Carrie Ann Emory, and Bonnie Emory; sister Jan Peck.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am Tuesday on March 28, 2023 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Chip’s graveside service will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday on March 28, 2023, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Sidney Emory officiating.
