Boyce Bumgardner

Boyce Bumgardner, 94, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on October 12, 2021. He was born December 2, 1926, in Gaston County to the late Albert Luther and Edna Sams Bumgardner.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Bumgardner; daughter, Penny Lynn Bumgardner; son-in-law, Boyce Jenkins.

Boyce was a United States Army Veteran and member of the First Baptist Church, Bessemer City. He enjoyed spending time with his family, an avid bowler, and going to the beach.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Debbie Jenkins, and Scott Bumgardner (Sherry); granddaughter, Nikki Knight; great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Knight; brother, Eugene Bumgardner; sisters Louise Salmon and Rebecca Garner.

Boyce’s graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Olin Byrum, III officiating.
