Betty Wood

Betty Jean Fraley Wood, 90, of York, SC, passed away on July 4, 2021, at her home. She was born August 28, 1930, in Gaston County to the Charlie Steven Fraley and Lillie Mae Jones Fraley.

She was preceded in death by siblings Marshall Fraley, Walter Fraley, Robert Fraley, Max Fraley, Minnie Melton, Jennie Richards, and Della Fraley.

Left to cherish her memories are sons Steve Dover (Barbara) and Jeff Dover (Patty); grandsons Jeffrey Dover, Jr., and Michael Dover (Joanna); granddaughter Buffy Kay Dover; great-grandchildren Ethan, Weston, Layton, and Vanessa Dover.

Betty’s graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor James Knight officiating.
