Barbara Henderson

Barbara Ann Henderson, 80, of Gastonia passed away at home on July 27, 2021. She was born November 2, 1940, in Fletcher County to the late Leroy and Helen Melton Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Tyson; son, William “Bill” Robert Henderson, Sr.; sisters, Doris Herlong, Jeanette Hughes, and Louise Herring.

She loved her family, cooking for family, being in the mountains and called all her grandchildren her babies.

Left to cherish her memories are her grandsons, David J. Newton (Julie), William Robert Henderson, Jr. (Dawn), Christopher B. Worthy, and Joshua L. Worthy (Hayley); granddaughters, Leslie M. Jackson (Travis), Ashley M. Henderson, and Willa Ann Henderson Dillard; great-grandchildren, Cameron Brewer, Austin Henderson, Nickles Henderson, Kierra Mullinax, Ryleigh Newton, and Celena Kirkland; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister Ruby Hinkle.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 am at Sisk Butler Funeral Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021.

Barbara’s funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Leo Kuykendall officiating.
