Wilma Smith

Wilma Davidson Weaver Smith, 80, went to be with the Lord on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Peak Resources of Gastonia. She was born on October 17, 1936 in Gaston County to the late Fred E. Davidson and the late Nettie Skidmore Davidson Hill.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Weaver; and her second husband, John Smith; her brothers, Buddy and Clarence Davidson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jerry Weaver, Larry Weaver (Martha), JoAnn Bryson (David), Sandra Featherstone (Playto), and Phyllis Weaver Bridges (Darrell); her step-son, Charles Smith (Diane); her brothers, Jim Davidson, and Charles Hill; her sister, Alma Walker; 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

A memorial service, to celebrate Wilma's life, will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Steve Bynum officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, or other times at the home of Phyllis Weaver.
