WAYNE WATTS

Wayne Watts, 77, of Lincolnton, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday October 20, 2016 at home. He was born in Horry County, SC on April 15, 1939 to the late Lester Allen and Wilma Smith Watts.

Wayne was a hard working supervisor and part owner of Carver and Sons Roofing. He was a charter member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and served as head of the Deacon Board. Wayne loved surf fishing, camping and traveling. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather and great-grandfather. The family wishes a special thank you to Hospice of Gaston County.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Carver Watts; daughter, Kim Spencer and husband David of Dallas; son, Tim Watts and wife Michele of Lincolnton; brothers, Allen Watts and wife Linda of Leesburg, Florida, David Watts and wife Cindi of Dallas; grandchildren, Cortney Gantt and husband Brian, Philip Spencer and wife Terra, Zack Watts, Dustin Spencer; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Gantt, Sawyer Spencer; extended family; his in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday October 22, 2016 at Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church with Rev. Ralph Carver and Rev. Earl Carver, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. before the service at the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
