Wayne Milwood

Wayne Edward Milwood, Jr., 58, of Gastonia, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018, while at Robin Johnson House. He was born February 3, 1960 in Gaston County to Ruth Townsend Milwood and the late Wayne Edward Milwood Sr.

Wayne was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and paw-paw. He worked with Duke Energy, as a line technician for 38 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping with his family and his extended camping family. While camping, he enjoyed rides on his golf cart and making new friends. Wayne was also "the #1 fan" of the Dallas Cowboys and adored his Yorkies including the late Dallas Milwood.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Kim Jenkins Milwood; son, Jason Wayne Milwood; daughter, Jessica Brooke Milwood and fiancé Justin Tyler; his beloved Yorkie, Macie; Grandchildren, Alexa Brooke and Madeline Rose Milwood; mother, Ruth Townsend Milwood; sister, Mandy Milwood Phillips and husband Scott; brothers, Doug Milwood; Jeff Milwood and wife Kerry; sisters-in-law, Donna Carver and husband Alan, Cathy McGinnis and husband Todd; numerous nieces and nephews.

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City and other times at the home of Kim and Wayne Milwood.

A Celebration of Wayne's life, will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Bethlehem Church, South Campus with Pastor Dickie Spargo and Rev. Dale Lawing officiating.

Interment will follow at Evergreen - A Quiet Place, Belmont.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice/Robin Johnson House at Gastonhospice.org
