Violet Bumgardner

Violet Clark Bumgardner, 91, of Bessemer City, passed away at Caromont Regional Medical Center on January 3, 2019. She was born July 3, 1927 in Gaston County to the late C.A. and Pearl Holland Clark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles William Bumgardner; brother, James Clark; sisters, Marie Hastings and Margaret Crisp.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Steve Bumgardner and wife Kathy, Alan Bumgardner and wife Joy all of Bessemer City, brother, George Clark and wife Joyce; sister-in-law Betty Bumgardner Kirby; grandchildren, Christopher Bumgardner, David Bumgardner, Ariel Glover and husband Brady, Amber Bumgardner, Jordan Bumgardner and wife Traci, Zach Chambers; great-grandsons, Ian Thomas & Evan Jacob Glover.

Violet was a lifetime member of Hephzibah ARP church. She worked with Avon sales for more than 30 plus years.

Violet's funeral will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday January 6, 2019 at Hephzibah ARP Church, Bessemer City with Pastor Dale Hendricks and the Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
