Tony Suggs

Tony Lee Suggs, 69, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.  He was born March 23, 1950 in Montgomery County, son of the late Ray and Margaret Abernathy Suggs.

Tony was a member of the Sons of American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Hazel Suggs; son Ricky Dean Ramsey; sisters Patricia Suggs, Brenda Autry, Connie Lingerfelt.

Left to cherish his memory are his; son, Billy Dean Ramsey; daughter Lisa Mathis Greene and husband Richard; brothers Ray Suggs, Jr. of Rockingham, Charlie Suggs of Texas, Jerry Suggs, William Suggs, Jimmy Suggs all of Gastonia, Larry Suggs of Shelby; sisters Carolyn Hozey of Clinton, SC, Shirley McLoud of Atlanta, Ga., Janice Moore, Jenny Ford both of York, SC; grandchildren Brittany Mathis, Tiffany and Stephanie Ramsey, Chasity Greene and Kenneth Greason and wife Tamara; great-grandchildren Austin Young, McKenzie K. Wilson, Riley Noblet, Delaney Greason and Samuel Wilson; God Children Jacob and Briana Wilson.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 21, 2019 at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Maney and Tim Barrett officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
