Thelma Connard

Thelma H. "Sam" Connard, 61, of Bessemer City passed away peacefully at home Saturday March 19, 2016. She was born November 12, 1954, in Gaston County, daughter to the late Paul and Marie Harding.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 39 years, Donnie Connard; her daughter, Shannon Frady of Bessemer City; granddaughter, Hailey Frady.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Shane Brown; four sisters and five brothers.

Thelma was a retired textile worker. She worked for TiCaro-Arlington Mill and Ithaca Industries. She also worked at Dan's Restaurant preparing and serving food. Thelma was known as a real people person and was loved by all who knew her.

A Graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Don Capell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
