Shawn Sweeting

Shawn Andrew Sweeting, 36, of Bessemer City, passed away at his residence on March 10, 2022. He was born March 14, 1985, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Renee Michelle.

Shawn sang in the band Negative Six Feet, enjoyed painting, and Ravens Football.

Left to cherish his memory is wife, Rochell Haney Sweeting; mom Renee Turner and stepdad Dennis Turner; brother, Sebastian Flora; stepsister, Toni Turner Martin; stepchildren, Kendall Spurling, Cherish Spurling; nieces, Raven Flora, Zoey Flora; maternal grandmother, Janet Sweeting; his kidney donor aunt, Jill Fuller (Gordon), aunt Debbie Bentzen, aunt Jennifer Catherine; and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Harmony Baptist Church.

Shawn's memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Fain officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Walnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
