Russell Pelc

Russell Robert "Russ" Pelc, 58, passed away peacefully at home on Friday November 9, 2018. He was born August 20, 1960 in Rochelle Illinois to the late Robert Eugene and Mary Jo-Lu Koenes Pelc.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 20 years, Martha Arrowood Pelc; children, Shawna McNeely, Roberta Anderson, and Chance Anderson; aunt, Ruth Bewley; special cousin, Belinda Martin; five grandchildren; sisters, Ava Ramirez and husband Carlos, Monica Pelc, Roberta Eisert, and Paula Logan.

Russ was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for many years as a contractor for Nuclear plants across the United States. He loved adventure and traveling to exotic locations. He was a compassionate soul, who lived and enjoyed life to the fullest.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City

A Celebration of Russ' life will be held at 2pm Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Dallas First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bob McCully officiating.

Military honors will be given, immediately following his service, at the church.
