Roy Broome

Roy A. Broome, 87, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 13, 2016. He was born on July 4, 1929 to the late William Hoyle and Viola Adams Broome.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter, Sandra Broome Loyd and husband Greg of Bessemer City; grandson, Jamie Hicks and wife Stephany; great-grandsons, Gavin and McCoy Hicks.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Broome.

Roy was retired from the Williams Electric Company after 30 years of service. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #515.

A funeral service for Mr. Broome will be held in the Sisk-Butler chapel at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 17, 2016 with the Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, Sandra Loyd.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
