Robert Michael & Eugenia "Genie" Kiser

Robert Michael Kiser, Jr. was born in Spencer, NC to the late Robert Michael Kiser and Bertha Naomi Carson Kiser. He married Eugenia “Genie” Houg on December 8, 1951. As Robert would say, “Ten years and one day after Pearl Harbor”. Robert served in World War II, and he was a Navy Veteran. Genie was the daughter of Ruth Alden Houg and Orville Adlai Houg. They have three children, Karen Elizabeth Kiser Babcock (Brett Babcock deceased), Stephen Hall Kiser (Sybil Johnson), Daryl Jay Kiser (deceased) and one grandson Matthew Hunter Babcock, Genie is the sister of Orville Hanson Houg (deceased) and Elzabeth Alden Houg Adams, Robert is the brother of Nancy Clements (deceased), Patsy Lindsay and Glista Young. They both were active members of Brentwood Presbyterian Church in Brentwood, California for 63 years.

Robert & Genie’s graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tripp Hord officiating.
