Robert Clarence Franks

Robert Clarence Franks, 78, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on January 7,2024. He was born April 12, 1945, in Cleveland County, to the late Robert Clyde Franks and Roselyn Ramsey.

He is preceded in death by sister, Edith Flowers.

Robert was a member of First Baptist Church for 20 plus years. He retired from Bellsouth, LLC. He dearly loved his family, and he took great care of his sisters. Robert enjoyed working outside in the yard and riding his lawn mower.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Franks; son, Jerry Lloyd Franks (Cindy Addington); daughter, Linda Franks (Charlie Brown); brother, Lewis Franks (Diane); sisters, Lois Galant, Evelyn Flowers; grandchildren, Brittney Franks, Latosha McKenny, Travis Addington, Bobby Trimnal (Kim); great grandchildren, Kerrigan Trimnal, Kinsley Trimnal, Aubree Woods, Cameron Addington; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. No other formal services are planned.
