Richard Lineberger

Richard Dean Lineberger, age 63, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his parents' home following a sudden illness.

Richard was a devout church member with 50 plus years attending Mt. Beulah Baptist and serving as a Deacon, a driver with the Bus Ministry, and serving on several committees at the church. He was also self-employed, the sole-proprietor of a land grading company.

Born December 29, 1954 in Gaston County, Richard was the eldest son of Fred and Ruby Stroupe Lineberger of Dallas, NC.

Richard is survived by his parents, a brother, Scott Lineberger; sisters Ann Mathis, and husband Eddie, Linda L. Anderson, and husband Cecil; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support during this difficult time and especially Cindy and Tammy from Gaston Hospice.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday July 1, 2018 at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church, 5306 Dallas-Cherryville Highway, Bessemer City, NC 28016, with Rev. Fain Farmer officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 pm prior to his service at the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
