Peggy Mcgill

Peggy Frances McGill, 89, of Gastonia, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on February 5, 2022. She was born March 4, 1932, in Gaston County, to the late Archie Herman Robinson and Timy Lucinda Robinson.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Roy “Bud” McGill, Sr.; son, Roy “Buddy” McGill, Jr.; daughter, Robin Lynn McGill.

Peggy attended Flint Groves Baptist Church. She loved music and going to East Gaston Day Care and dancing with the patients. Peggy loved her family and they fondly referred to her as Granny.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Marion Boughman (Terry), Cindi Withers (JC), Archie McGill (Debbie); seven grandchildren, Scott Queen (Tina), Dennis McGill (Anna), Heath Cope (Michelle), Missy Clark, Robin Melton (Darin), Stephanie Hamilton (Stuart), Heidi Adams (Clifton); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Flint Groves Baptist Church.

Peggy’s funeral service will be held 12:00 PM on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Flint Groves Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Bowers officiating.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
