Peggy Annette Strickland Jones, 77, passed away on Sunday July 16, 2017 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby. She was born on September 27, 1939 in Cleveland County, to the late Ernest and Violet Bullocks Strickland.
Peggy loved the beach and going for a ride.
She was preceded in death by her son Richard Edward Jones; daughter Lisa Viola Jones.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Edward "Ed" Leon Jones of Grover; son Earnest Dale Jones, Sr. and wife Elaine of Kings Mountain; daughter Penny Jones and Joy Poss of Kings Mountain; sister Frances "Toad" Pennington of Shelby; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel with Rev. Dennis Harmon officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain.
