Pauline Jones

The family of Pauline Barker Jones of Mount Holly, North Carolina is saddened to announce her passing on January 17, 2023, at the age of 93.

Pauline was born on April 30, 1929, to John and Laura (Bryant) Barker. She grew up in Lincoln County and graduated from Rock Springs High School in Denver, North Carolina.

She was one of the owners of the Mount Holly Farm Supply, Mount Holly, North Carolina, which they just celebrated their 70 years in business. In her younger years, she was an active member of Westview Presbyterian Church.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Jones; sister, Beatrice Sherrill, brothers, Bud Barker, Lewis Barker; son-in-law, Doug Painter.

Pauline was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her children, Teressa Jones Painter, Eric Jones (Kim); her grandchildren, Brittany Hunt (Parker), Taylor Jones (Trey), Haley Jones (Sam), Kristina Valentine; and 5 great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Rumple (Richard) of Iron Station; sisters-in-law Lois Barker of Lowesville, Betty Marble (Fred) of Mooresville, Helen Killian (Don) of Mount Holly, Pudgie Jones of Stanley.

The family will have a private graveside service.
