Maxine Bennett

Maxine Mae Moyer Bennett, 93, a native of Knox County Ohio, passed away peacefully at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation of Cherryville on Thursday, February 22, 2018. She was born February 23, 1924 in Wills Creek Ohio to the late Thomas and Kathryn Shaffer Moyer.

Maxine was happily married to her loving husband for 50 years. They enjoyed playing cards with friends, boating, and traveling. Maxine also enjoyed swimming, sewing, and spending time with friends and family.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Bennett; her sister, Jean Ely, and two brothers, Thomas and Myron Moyer.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Susan Seiler and husband Mark of Bessemer City, two grandchildren, Ray Seiler and wife Heather of Kings Mountain, Lisa Quinn and husband Blair of Cherryville; three great-grandsons, Jon Seiler, Jake and Brody Quinn.
