Mary Wall

Mary Ruth Love Wall, 83, passed away on Wednesday April 12, 2017 at Somerset Court of Cherryville. She was born November 2, 1933 in Gaston County to the late Clyde Harrison and Exilee Langley Love.

She was preceded in death by her husband Sgt. Columbus James Wall USMC; sisters; Virginia Love, Esther Davis

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Cathy W. Ross and husband Kenneth of Bessemer City; sister, Mildred Tate of Gastonia; grandchildren, Angela R. Mullins of Ohio, James K. Ross, Jr. of Bessemer City; great-grandchildren, Ashley Ross, Kayla Beavers, Caroline Ross; great-great-grandchildren, Megan Ross, Hedan Bruce, Curtis Dean Bruce; many beloved nieces and nephews.

Mary was a lifelong member of Fairview Baptist Church. She graduated from Frank L. Ashley High School and retired from S H Kress Company.
Mary was a strong willed Southern Lady. She gave unselfishly of herself being a source of strength and support to all of her family. She took an active roll in raising all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved, will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She lives on in our hearts.

A memorial service, to honor Mary's life, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Raines officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
