Mary Gaston

Mary Frances "Martin" Gaston, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday January 2, 2019. She was born May 31, 1944 in Haywood County to the late Crawford and Elizabeth Robinson Gaston.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Martin; brother-in-law Grady Gibson; son-in-law, Henry Dreher, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children; Curtis Martin and wife Cheryl, Robin Dreher, Kim Martin; sisters, Evelyn Gibson, Joan Hicks and husband Johnny; brother, Bill Gaston and wife Edith; grandchildren, Michael Martin, Jennifer Parks and husband Jared, Jessica Lowman and husband Brice, Ashley Martin, John Hawes, Shane Martin; great-grandchildren, Jasmine Wilson and husband Kam, Jordan Hall, Jayla Martin, Jayden Parks, Nikolas Martin, Dakota Martin, Michaela Martin, Boston Lowman, Brooklyn Lowman, Evan Martin; great-great grandson, Julian Wilson.

Mary was retired from Wix Filters after 42 years of service. She enjoyed her yearly trips to both the beach and the mountains with her family. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

A Celebration of Mary's life, officiated by Pastor Lewis Gunn, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel, Bessemer City.

Her family will receive friends from 12 to 12:45 prior to her service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia
