Martha Ann Smith

Martha Ann Bandy Smith, age 78, of Dallas, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born June 21, 1945, in Gaston County to the late Martin and Ivetta Bandy.

She was a retiree from the Wix Corporation after many years of service. She was also a dedicated pastor's wife for several years. Martha was an active member of the Bradshaw Family Gospel Music Ministry for most of her adult life. She served many churches as a pianist and a minister of music. Anyone who knew Martha, heard about her Jesus.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Billy Blair Smith; brother, Jerry Bandy.

Survivors include her daughters, Jane Cunningham (Lanny), and Betsy Sigmon (Matthew); grandchildren, Courtney Deese, Katie Sigmon, Nicklaus Sigmon; Zackary Sigmon, Austin Cunningham (Wendy); great-grandchildren: Jesse Dellinger, Cole Dellinger, Annie Dellinger; great, great granddaughter, Ophelia Smith – Dellinger.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at The Remnant Church, 1608 Shelby Rd., Kings Mountain, NC 28086.

The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.

The Remnant Church will provide a meal for the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service.
