Larry Rogers, Sr.

Larry Thomas Rogers, Sr, 80, of Stanley, passed away at Willow Ridge Rehab on February 4, 2022. He was born November 18, 1941, in Gaston County, to the late Verlin Rogers and the late Jeanette Whisnant McDougal.

Larry is preceded in death by his brother, Lamar Rogers, and grandson, AJ Sabine.

Larry loved restoring antique cars, racing and tinkering on cars. He was incredibly imaginative, inventive and the kind of person who could make anything out of nothing. Larry always made you laugh and always left you with a smile.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Larry Rogers, Jr., Stacie Rogers Carey (Jim), Marysia Rogers Sabine, and Alpha Rogers; grandson, Jonathon Sabine; sister, Mavis Beard; brother, Mike Rogers.

The family will receive friends Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4:00-4:50 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Larry's Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, February 11, 2022 in the Chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Whitney officiating.
