Kenneth Stafford

Kenneth Harold "Smiley" Stafford 80, of Kings Mountain passed away on Sunday October 23, 2016 at Country Time Inn Assisted Living in Kings Mountain. He was born in Gaston County on November 11, 1935 to the late Avery Pink and Stella Mae Deaton Stafford.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Davis Stafford; son Kenneth Stafford Jr. sisters, Helen Tanner, and Lula Mae Stafford; brothers, Jason, Paul, Willard and Avery Stafford.

Kenneth loved his family, dogs, fishing, outside activities and planting gardens. He worked in textiles, tree care and carpentry.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Edward Stafford of Johnson City, TN; grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd Stafford of Bessemer City; sister, Ethel Jean Brown of Stanley; numerous nephews and nieces; and special friend, Virgie.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at Country Time Inn Assisted Living.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday November 3, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Carl Brown officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia.
