Judith Rae Broden

Judith Rae Broden, age 77, of Bessemer City, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 24, 2023 at home. She was born September 22, 1945 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Kenneth and Helen Collins Farquhar. 

Judith worked for Milton Bradley Packaging for several years, and then went on to work as a bartender/manager with the VFW for several years. She loved watching her Soap operas, especially the Bold and The Beautiful. She also enjoyed playing on her tablet and video chatting with her sister, Doris, and other friends during her daughters Facebook lives. She loved her family and especially spending time with her grandkids, and great grandkids.   

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard W. Broden, Sr.; sister, Margaret Tassinari; stepchildren, Michael Langevin, Richard Broden, Jr., Kimberly Broden; and step-grandson, Timmy Broden. 

Survivors include her son, Joseph Broden (Patricia); daughter, Virginia Lethco (Mike, Sr.); sisters, Doris Krzykowski, and Barbara Mrosz; grandchildren, Crystal Phubarr (Tony), Richard Araujo (Joanne), David Araujo, Frank Weston (Jen), Joey Broden, Jessica Broden; step-grandchildren, Mikel Lethco, Jr. (Melanie), Amber Schneider (Jason), Ashlie Catoe (Tommy), Amy Lethco, Lori Munn (Cliff), Michael Langevin, Jr., Bonnie, Anthony, Nick, Matthew Broden, Andy Richmond, Amanda Lastrina, and Bobby Staples; 30 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
