Juanita Ledford

Juanita Calhoun Ledford, 84, of Stanley, passed away at home on December 30, 2022. She was born September 5, 1938, in Iredell County, to the late Thomas Martin Calhoun and Lula Mae Calhoun.

She is preceded in death by, husband of 70 years, Rev. Kenneth Devon Ledford; brother, Tommy Lee Calhoun (Lucille).

Juanita loved the Lord and served him all her life. She was a Proverbs 31 woman and a blessing to all. Juanita was very talented and could do anything she set her mind to. Anyone that knew her, could see Jesus in her beautiful smile and loving eyes. She was simply angelic and a gift to her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Vickie Sanders (Jimmy); sons, Kenny Lee Ledford (Joyce), Rickie Dean Ledford (Cathy), Mickey Eugene Ledford (Debbie), Jerry Levone Ledford (Trudy); 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Wednesday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Juanita’s funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor David Chapman, Rev. Rickie Ledford, and Mr. Derek Rumfelt officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
