John Carpenter

John "Johnny" Alan Carpenter, 57, of Bessemer City, passed away at home on Friday May 27, 2016. He was born on February 3, 1959 to Joyce Lee Carpenter and the late Charles Donald "Don" Carpenter.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 35 years, Liz Carpenter; mother, Joyce Carpenter; daughter, Amanda Grooms and husband Mitch; sons, Joseph Alan Carpenter and wife Lindsay, John Weatherford all of Bessemer City, grandchildren, twins, Kailey and Tyler Grooms, Iris and Jasper Carpenter, Hunter Weatherford and twins, Landen and Brynleigh Weatherford; sister, Kathy C. Hovis and husband Ed of Gastonia; and Tommy Brindle and Thomas Bingham, who Johnny treated like his own.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

His funeral services will be held at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday May 31, 2016 with the Rev. Wes Brown officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
