Jenielle Ramsey

Jenielle Hager Ramsey, 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation, Cherryville. She was born October 24, 1924 in Gaston County, daughter to the late Rufus and Addie Carpenter Hager.

Jenielle was a lifelong member of Concord United Methodist Church. She served on many committees and held numerous offices in Missions, and the United Methodist Women's group and prayer group. Jenielle also served as a Sunday School teacher. Her greatest joys were spoiling her girls, family time, bowling, trips to the beach and riding carousels, especially on her birthday. Jenielle loved traveling, she has visited every state and seen each state flag. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Martin Lewis Ramsey; brother, Joe Hager; sister Johnnie Earl.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Nola Huffstetler and husband Steve of Bessemer City; sister Rev. Nancy White of S. Charleston, W. Virginia; grandchildren Stephanie Gee and husband Chad of Bessemer City, Fraleane Hudson and husband Jason of Wilmington; great-grandchild Dakota Gee; step-grandchildren Stephanie Cochrane and husband Jody of Vale; step-great-grandchildren Zoi Canipe, Parker Cochrane; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; many special friends and the special staff at Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation of Cherryville who she loved dearly.

Jenielle's funeral will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Concord United Methodist Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Hayward Morrison and Rev. Cindy Spicer officiating.

Her family will receive friends Friday, January 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
