James Neal

James Walter Neal, Sr.,74, passed away at home on Friday February 2, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 24, 1943, in Gaston County, son to James Edgar Neal and Katherine Holland Neal Horne.

James was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bessemer City.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Alice Humphery Neal of Bessemer City; sons James W. Neal, Jr. and wife Mandy Neal of Cherryville, (Cyrus) Kye Neal of Kings Mountain, Brian Duvall and wife Tracy of Dallas; sister, Brenda Neal Hardin of Catawba, brother, Ben Neal and wife Kandice of Bessemer City; additional siblings Judy Breedlove, Judson Horne, Keith Horne and wife Janet, Pam Hooper and husband Roger, JoBeth Hall and husband Rick; brother-in-law Ronnie Chastaine; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church in Bessemer City with Pastor Eric Ross officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

His family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to his service at the church.
