Hilda Clay Ramsey, known by her friends and family as “Lulu” passed away on June 13, 2021 at the age of 79. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Clayton Ramsey, their daughter, Jennifer Rivkin, granddaughter Heather Ramsey, her mother Francis Prins Fleming, two brothers, William Walker and Wayne McAdams and one sister Arlene Henderson.
Hilda will be forever remembered by her daughter, Janet Garvey and Tom, son Jeff Ramsey and Tena; granddaughter Natalie Higgins and Jonathan, grandson Markus Mobley and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Aria, Lila, Maysen, Myles and Elijah; siblings Bill Walker and Carol, Phyllis McAdams, Raymond McAdams and Peggy, Henry Cole, along with numerous nieces, nephews.
Hilda was best known for her amazing sense of humor and honesty. You always knew what she was thinking at all times. She was sharp and quick-witted, but bold and loved a good glass of red wine or a strong cup of coffee. Hilda was creative and a lover of shoes, QVC and George Strait. She never left her house without a purse full of Kleenex. She loved watching the Deer and Rabbits in her yard, claiming them as her own. Although she was shy about her artistic abilities, Hilda was an avid painter. Her home is full of her beautiful paintings. She loved to share her skills and art supplies with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Hilda’s life will be held at 10:00 with the family. Services will begin at 11:00, on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Long Creek Presbyterian Church with Jason Davenport and Dr. Charles Davenport officiating.
Inurnrment will follow at Long Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
