Hazel Harmon

Bessemer City, North Carolina

Hazel Maxine Little Harmon, 93, passed away on Thursday February 8, 2018 at The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 16, 1924 in Cabarrus County to the late Roy C. and Flossie Purser Little.

Hazel was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church, Bessemer City since 1946. She enjoyed her Bridge Club for over fifty years, her Garden Club meetings, and spending her summers at Lake Montonia.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren C. Harmon.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving son Warren Stephen Harmon and wife Susan of Charlotte; daughter Beverly Harmon Brown and husband Jack of Greensboro; sisters-in-law Cloie Phifer and husband AG of Bessemer City and Hazeline Thomas of Gastonia; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Hazel's life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the chapel of Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Reverend Tom Ravan officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church PO Box 397 Bessemer City, NC 28016.
