Gary Cochrane

Gary Grant Cochrane, 77, of Belmont, passed away at CaroMont Regional Medical Center on February 7, 2022. He was born March 24, 1944, in Gaston County, to the late Fred Fisher and Catherine Viola Johnson Cochrane.

Gary is preceded in death by his daughter Emily Renee Cochrane, brothers, Johnny Wayne Cochrane, Gene Douglas Cochrane, William Kenneth Cochrane, and Charles Emmitt Cochrane, sister, Cleta Faye Cochrane Hill.

Gary was the co-owner of J & G Fence, Inc. He loved all things outdoors, fishing, hiking, people watching, and piddling.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Todd Cochrane (Julie Ensley); grandsons Grant Stephen Cochrane and Anderson Jackson Cochrane; brothers, Fred Fisher Cochrane, Jr. and James Jerry Cochrane (Pat); and his furbaby Chipper.

Gary’s funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on February 11, 2022 at Sisk Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Denton officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia.
