Faye Kennerly

Faye Moss Kennerly, 90, of Bessemer City, passed away on March 13, 2016 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain. She was born on November 7, 1925 in Cleveland County, to the late Dewey F. and Araminta Green Moss.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie H. Kennerly; sisters, Lee Rhoda M. Pruitt, Mildred M. Hayes, Dorothy Mullinax.

Faye formerly worked at Firestone Textiles for 12 years and then she was the office manager for Kennerly Grading Company in Bessemer City for a number of years. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City. Faye was a former Sunday School Teacher and she was also a member of the Wesleyan Women and Best Years Fellowship.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Brenda Jenkins of Russellville, TN, Billie Faye Kennerly Wright and husband Mark of Bessemer City; step-sons, Tony Kennerly and wife Cathy of Bessemer City, Mike Kennerly and wife Betty of Charlotte, Bobby Kennerly of Bessemer City, Doug Kennerly and wife Cookie of Huntersville, Jimmy Kennerly and wife Janet of Cherryville; sisters, Billie M. Cannon and husband Archie, Barbara M. Embler and husband Ronnie all of Shallotte, NC; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, March 17, 2016 at First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City, with Rev. Wes Brown and Rev. Mark Tolan officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
