Faybelle Deck

Fayebelle Biggerstaff Deck 94, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family on Thursday March 15, 2018. She was born on September 20, 1923 in Gaston County, daughter to the late Edgar Harrill and Georgina Goldsworthy Biggerstaff.

Faybelle was the oldest member of First Presbyterian Church of Bessemer City, First Woman Elder, lifetime membership Women of the Church. Board member of the ARC for Gaston County and was a member of the Mental Health Board. She was a beloved mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Adam Guy Deck; daughter Susan Denise Deck, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Left to cherish her memories is her daughters Karen Elaine Deck Yount and husband Charles Edward Yount of Cherryville, Vickie Deck Dameron and husband Ernest L. Dameron, Jr. of Bessemer City, 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Faybelle's life, will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kitty Thompson and Chaplain Anita Harvin officiating.
Interment will follow at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.

Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
