LOUIS   NATIONS



Earl Louis Nations, Jr., 67, of Dallas, passed away July 15, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia.  He was born October 11, 1944, in Gaston County to Earl Lewis Nations, Sr. of Clarksville, TN, and the late Ida Meadows Groves.



Louis was retired from Advance Machining of Gastonia after 20 years of service.  Prior to this, he worked with Pioneer Machining.  Louis attended New Faith Baptist Church in Gastonia.  He loved the Word of God and his favorite scripture was John 5:24 which reads," Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but passed from death unto life."  He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.



Louis is survived by his wife of 20 years, Patsy Gibson Nations; four sons; two daughters; three brothers; six sisters; six grand-children; thirteen nieces and nephews; twelve great-nieces and nephews.



Louis is preceded in death by his step-father, James Groves, Sr.



A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at 11:00 AM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home Chapel, Bessemer City, with Rev. Robert Martin officiating.



Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.



Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
