Douglas Vick

Douglas "Doug" Emmett Vick, age 70, passed away peacefully at home on Monday May 14, 2018. He was born on March 9, 1948 in Clovis New Mexico to the late Raymond Emmett and Patsy Curtis Vick.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughters, Sara Catherine McCarthy (Adam) and Patsy JoAnne McGuire; his sisters, Jeannie Faverino, and Annette Bean; three granddaughters, and one grandson.

Doug was a decorated veteran of the United States Army serving with the 134th Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam. He loved to travel the world. He also loved riding on his Harley.

His family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, May 18. 2018 at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church, Lincolnton, NC.

Douglas's funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Spencer officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with military honors.
