Doris Jean Bradshaw, 89, of Bessemer City, passed away at Robin Johnson House on February 13, 2023. She was born March 19, 1933, in Gaston County, to the late Henry “H.A.” Alfred Bradshaw and Carrie Benoy Bradshaw.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Benoy Bradshaw, and Roy Don Bradshaw; sisters, Lois Bradshaw Ballard, and Frances Bradshaw Wilson; nephews, Chouvis Dean Ballard, Toby Bradshaw; niece Joyce Bradshaw.
Doris was an avid bowler and held the ladies highest score at AMF Gastonia Lanes for many years. She enjoyed playing and coaching softball. Doris was a loyal fan of the Duke Blue Devils basketball team and Atlanta Braves.
Left to cherish her memories are nieces and nephews, Millie Bradshaw Huss (Rodney), Carmen Ballard McBride (Jay), Janine Ballard Parker, Dennis Wilson (Mimi), Scott Wilson (Andrianne), Kelly Wilson Roach, Mark Wilson, Tony Bradshaw, Tommy Bradshaw, numerous great nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Doris’s graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Westview Gardens with Dr. Matt Mitchell officiating.
