Darrell Hill

Darrell Ray Hill, 56, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center. He was born on January 15, 1961 in Gaston County to the late Arthur Junior and Marie Prince Hill.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Jason Charles.

Darrell was employed with Park Elevator for 38 years.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife April Mason Hill; daughter Tonya Cagle and husband Michael of Gastonia; Maggie Goldthrite and husband Brandon of Clover, SC; godson Lance Self; sister Lisa Hill DeVault and husband Randy of Mt. Holly; grandchildren David Hawkins, Jared "Bubba" Hawkins, Jo Hawkins, Danny DelCastillo, Ryan DelCastillo, Anna Cagle, Aulbry Singleton, Storm Goldthrite, Allison Goldthrite, Marshall Goldthrite; mother-in-law Ruth Mason; best friends David Rodrigue, Allen Hicks and his puppy Patti.

A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Faith and Praise Assembly in Ranlo with Rev. Jason Marlowe officiating.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Gardens, Mt. Holly.

His family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
