Conley Payne

Conley Willard Payne, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Peak Resource of Shelby. He was born May 21, 1935, in Macon Georgia to the late Polie Elwood and Vinnie Lou Barton Payne.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Ray Payne; his son, Conley "Dood" Elwood Payne; and his stepdaughter, Vanessa Willard

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Harold Payne and wife Barbara of Kings Mountain, Sharon Hodge and husband Arnold of Clover, Vivian Brooks and husband Charles of Clover, Joan Creech of Erlanger Kentucky, Gary Payne of Gastonia, Ernie Payne and wife Lynn of Crouse, Roger Payne and wife Donna of Gastonia, Gloria Jenkins and husband Larry of Bessemer City; stepson, Steven "Charlie" Lamar Hayes; brother, Randell Payne; daughter-in-law, Pamela Sisk; 20 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, Bessemer City.

His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 in the Sisk-Butler Chapel, Bessemer City, with Pastor Harry Davis officiating.

Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery
