Chris Wery

Christopher Knox Wery “lil Chris” passed away unexpectedly at the age of 25 on Tuesday, June 21, 2023.  He was a loyal friend, son, and brother. He was also an avid lover of animals, and lover of all things outdoors.  Chris leaves behind his parents, Chris Wery and Angie Dennis Wery, and brothers Nathan Wery and Landon Monaghan that love him more than words can express and maternal grandmother, Debra Dennis; great-grandmother Barbara Spencer and too many other close friends to list in and around the town of Dallas, NC.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Diane Harris Wery, and Scott Wery; and his maternal grandfather, Jack Dennis, Jr.  
 

Chris was known for his enormous heart and a true definition of someone who loved and lived life to the fullest.  He graduated from North Gaston High School in 2015 where he excelled in wrestling and baseball.  He later carried on the family business in roofing and was loved and admired by his family and friends, but he and his brother Nathan had a special bond like no other. 

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Angie Dennis Wery; brothers, Nathan Wery, and Landon Monaghan; Maternal grandmother, Debra Dennis; great-grandmother, Barbara Spencer. 

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2023 at Sisk-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Michael Crisp officiating. 

His family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. 

Burial will be private.
